Being sick sucks!!!!

First let me say that my cat Milo is really annoying me right now.  He's being all needy and won't leave me alone.  That is one of the many downfalls of being sick, more time with the annoying animals.

So I had been feeling kinda run down for a few days and then on Monday I felt like complete crap. After Monday, I struggled with a sore throat and popped advil all week.  I went out on Wednesday to S Bar with Kristin and Brandon.  It was ok to say the least.  I managed to befriend Billy the man in charge and he was very sweet and accommodating the whole night.  The dj was another Itunes playlist loser.  This was bad.  He literally had everything premixed, including scratching, and would leave the booth for 20 minutes at a time.  I had to do something, so Billy asked me what I wanted to hear and I basically commanded the dj for the rest of the evening. There really wasn't anything else except me being harassed by a drunk British guy who was eventually kicked out.

Thursday I went out and felt pretty good except for the fact that my voice was all hoarse.  Hotttt! I know.  I got home at about 3 am which sucked because I had to be up at 7.  That is when everything went down hill.  So I worked all day Friday and wasn't feeling too bad.  I spent the rest of the night at home resting and then Andria came to spend the night.

The next morning I woke up and had NO VOICE.  It was awful.  I had plans to go to a movie that I refused to cancel, so I started drinking tea, and hot water etc.  Finally I got my voice to about 50%.  I woke Andria up and made her talk to me so I could warm my voice up and figured that would just have to do.  Saturday turned out to be an awesome day.  I saw Jess and Jay later that evening at The Well.  We had a blast, despite the fact that everyone was freaked out that I did not sound like myself.  Then I went home.

I had to call in sick to work on Sunday, because I still could barely talk.  As of today my voice is still hovering at about 60%.

The saddest part about it is that I can't sing, and that is very hard for me to deal with.

It' been a while

OK it has been a little minute since my last post. So let's review shall we. Oh where to begin. Last Wednesday Brandon and I went for our usual romp around the gayborhood. We started out at MOLO and enjoyed the amazingness that is Doug. I swear he is one of the most entertaining people I have ever met. I insisted to Brandon that if he is ever willing to deviate from only dating asians, that Doug must be first in line. I have not given up hope that they will be together some day. Doug gave us a shot of "trouble"but this time I was prepared. We keep trying to figure out what is in it. It is some concoction involving green apple. UHHHH! Just thinking about it makes me shudder.

For those of you who don't know, I hate girly drinks. Drinks with any amount of sugar, or fake fruit taste makes me want to ralph. I usually only drink vodka sodas. Anyway, we proceeded to Fiesta for some karaoke action and it was kind of lame. After a while we went back to MOLO and got some more Doug time. Then we called it a night.

Thursday I went to Green Door with Kristin. We had a blast. The dj started out lame, but by the end of the night he delivered. I think it had something to do with me yelling out requests to him all night.

Saturday Connor had a party which I talked him into having. His house has been designated the party house. It was so much fun. We watched the UFC fight which was thoroughly entertaining. Anria, Ian and Paul came. Brandon actually ventured outside of West Hollywood to come along with Kristin and I. It was a total flashback to the college days, complete with beer pong and Coors Light in a can. Hell yeah baby!!!!

Then I started getting sick, and have since been dealing with razor blades in my throat, and talking like Demi Moore all day.

But the show must go on.
